I don’t want no girlfriend
Is what he says to me
Then wraps himself around my heart
And squeezes tenderly
I don’t want no girlfriend
He verbalized at noon
Then later on round midnight
Sends my spirit o’er the moon
I don’t want no girlfriend
He told me to my face
Then proceeds to shower me
With diverse gifts of grace
I don’t want no girlfriend
He speaks with such alarm
While reaching for my body
To cradle me in his arms
Well if he don’t want no girlfriend
Which he has made quite clear
If he don’t want no girlfriend
What am I doing here?
